when the Cat wants you up

you might as well get up. 

she walks on you. try's to groom you on the head & face.steps on your head. A lot. Jumps on the nightstand & knocks everything off.Then goes to the dresser,knocks all the pictures down,then jumps on you full force from there. A 12lb hurl of Cat is pretty heavy.

Then if I am still not up,she runs back in the tub. Knocks over stuff by the sink.

If I am still ignoring her,she then goes in the dining room & runs behind the slats on the blinds at the slider door.They have little chains on the bottom.

Ok Ok Ok I get up....she is all around my feet with the purring & pushing. her food is opened ,,Placed on the tea cart.She takes 2 bites.Walks away. gets in her BED>>>>then she sleeps...... 

  

Boy, aren't they annoying creatures? Robin's Moose and Felix get so talkative in the morning....feed me, feed me, FEED ME NOW!!!

Felix stays on the screen porch, he hates Huckleberry so he won't take the chance of running into him. But Moose thinks he owns the house. I have to be sure the downstairs bathroom door is shut at all times because he loves to walk around the tub after we've showered and leaves muddy little cat tracks all over the edge and floor....and then he likes to lay down, get wet, shake like a dog and I end up with cat hair in my tub....ewwwwww.

When Moose is our on the porch and decides he wants to come in he goes to the door windows and scrapes his claws on the glass....irritating sound. But he's learned that trick works...someone will usually open the door.

lol oh ya she does that too. knocks on the glass to come in.She has also torn all my screens to shreds.My slider door has no screen door on it anymore. I took it down.

I don't let her out that much anymore tho. She will bring in fleas.One time she brought in a bird. Alive .OMG. I was freaking out, the girls where chasing the thing. It was flapping all over the walls. Man I had a time getting the thing back outside.

DD in Indy has a rescue cat...has him for about 12 years or so I think. He is declawed, all four paws. So he doesn't go outside at all. And he's never scratched through a screen or shredded a couch or done anything destructive around the house.

He does, however, walk on her face in the middle of the night, purposefully knocks everything off the nightstands and dressers and generally makes a PITA of himself. She swears when his time comes she will never get another animal. We'll see......

     I laughed so hard.then the one wanting in.. oh I can so relate to that one.

Jacob had to show me how to get the video to play...too funny. And that sound IS the sound I hear....constantly.

Open the door to let him in.

Open the door to let him out.

Repeat.

I was smiling when I read about Barbara's cat then I cracked up when I saw the video...  

Norm, Jake said to tell you thank you for posting the cat video....

He couldn't wait to show his mom as soon as she walked in the door from work. He said, "Mom! Mom! Moose is on the Internet!" He must have played those videos for half an hour, over and over.....laughing out loud every time.

I watched others from that guy. Funny as all get out...

Glad you enjoyed them. He is starting to get famous for his cat cartoons.

This is why I never feed a cat in the morning, they will start getting you up 2 hours earlier than you normal time.  We always fed them before our dinner and before we went to bed -- just a tablespoon of wet food as they had dry down all the time as their main deal.  I'd never have done wet food but my room mate, whose cats they originally were, fed them the wet as a treat am and pm and she was awakened starting at 3am sometimes.  When I moved out and took all her cats, she wanted me to, I said no more morning feedings!!!  My brother's cat does the "face patting" thing and after a few times, he puts his paw down and pulls on his cheek.  He was front declawed, all my cats were.  Some people think it's cruel, but it's a way that keeps them from damaging property and skin.  I miss my kittens, but I couldn't keep up with the boxes and we found them homes before our move. None of my cats never went outside, and the strays were always so grateful, they never wanted to venture out again.

Only thing I can add is, Artie climbs all over me and tugs at the sheet, to pull it down!! He knows that I am so warm and cozy!
If all that fails--he lies on top of me so I can't move!!

I had a kitten once who wasn't sure what to do the first time I slept in. He crawled up and put his nose to mine. I was awake but with my eyes closed. Then he went to my eyelid and licked it open.
