This time she won't be able to sweep it under the rug like she did with her trying to hide her diabetes.

Stick her with a fork she is done.

FN is more then likely to kick her to the curb. Both her restaurants ,well I have eaten there & no great lose there..

Heck she was No show this morning for the today show..

wonder what her pal Oprah thinks abut all this???

stay tuned for more flap over this..just sayin...

"The Food Network says it will not renew the contract of celebrity chef Paula Deen, days after it was revealed she admitted using racial slurs in the past.

The network said in a news release Friday afternoon that it would not renew Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of the month."

I wonder if that will include her extended family who certainly got contracts via her popularity.....

The woman is in her late 60's, is it such a big deal for her to retire?  She certainly must have made a big pile of cash in the last couple decades, wouldn't you think?  I doubt she will be missed that much with the wide variety of programming The Food Network has scheduled in the years after her first big program.  Remember Paula's Party?  Seems like some of her antics shut that one down.  I don't think it has been missed at all.

I really have laughed all morning reading FB page for Food network. There is page now called WE support Paula deen. lmao.

then all these folks saying they are dropping Fn & their mag subscriptions.well I have had to pay upfront for my mags.so how can they that??
anyway there are lots & lots of folks who DON"T support her.

I have not watched FN in a long time. There is no one of interest to me on there.Least of all her....

so I won't miss her at all. She is crass & fake. Liar .

she didn't follow the rules of her contract & got fired.. FN has the right to have who the want to represent them in a way that will go with their image.she lost that long ago with her trashy potty mouth. Her out & out foul language.

I won't miss her one bit. BOY oh BOY Paula did it again 1297124391

I have no love or hate feeling for her.. I watched her show occasionally ( if I did not get any better show I liked BOY oh BOY Paula did it again 1838020472)  IMO she is a bit overacting on her shows, maybe that's her character.. I wish her luck in the future.. I don't think she needs FN to be more successful than she is now... and I  definitely will continue watching FN ( well.. occasionally Laughing depends on what's on the show ) Wink

It appears that FN is now saying they will continue to monitor the situation.. whatever that means.  Perhaps they are back tracking on saying she is fired.

I remember they fired Robert Irving and pretty soon he was right back.

It was interesting on the FN scheduling today....the TV said at noon on the printed out guide that the program would be Paula's Best Dishes.  Oddly, it was actually a repeat of one of Ina's old programs.

I don't get the cooking channel, but I'm wondering if they will still show the programs of her sons or if it will be guilt by association.  It wouldn't surprise me if the entire family was done on TV - the advertisers are not known for taking any chances their products might be mired in any controversies.

I saw where QVC has dumped her and the drug company is thinking along those lines.

I saw they are saying they have removed both her sons shows. I mean they have ridden her coat tails long enough.Neither are chefs, well she isn't either.

as much as I do NOT like Matt or the Today show, I hope he drags her over the coals on wed.You can bet that will soon be all over the net..

I was ready in front of my TV to watch her show this morning, it was on the program schedule, but when it started it was Ina on the show.. I think FN really means it... I'm sorry for her sons if their shows get pulled out too.. Crying or Very sad

you know this will on going for along time. It is just the beginning.
Kmart,QVC,Smithfield,Kraft,Norvo,they have dumped her.

The chefs are now coming out to have their say.It is funny as heck.No one is standing by her.
Wonder why Oprah has said nothing..yet..

this is going to be top news for a long time to come..

Quite honestly, if she didn't bank some of the millions she was paid over the last 11 years, well, shame on her.  I think she'll be just fine if she never makes another dime.  And if her sons have to get "real" jobs, then, so be it.  I know my family survives just fine on what she spends on hairspray every month.

Sorry, no real sympathy from me....
