Planning on French toast. Tina bought Texas Toast.
I will fry up the bacon.

I had a half bacon weave (used the last two slices instead of my normal three) left from BLT night so I warmed it in the microwave and made a bacon and egg sandwich on toast for my breakfast.

I had just a slice of Texas Toast. I forgot, the baby is under the feet mode now, so we don't cook whilst he is creeping around.
Tina was up early, and made a Zucchini stew. ( Gulp ) ... I had some, but enough ofthe zucchini already. Gee Aye Gee.

You sound like one of the kids with your slick GAG, Jimmy!!! Though it's probably delicious, I have to agree that zucchini stew does not engage any food cravings on my part.

All clear for bacon and french toast this morn.
I'm frying a pound of new bacon ( Sugardale hickory smoked ) from Canton Ohio.
Sure looks good. Walmart had it on sale 3.99 a lb.

I will mix the egg batter for the toast and get that ready..... I love prepping ahead of time.

Breakfast was late. Tina went to pick up stuff we needed and we ate at like 11:00.
All was good. I fried the french toast in the electric fry pan.
We just crisped up the pre cooked bacon in the microwave.

Mmmmm -- sounds delicious.  Sometimes breakfast is worth waiting for, Jimmy, and this sounded like one of those days for sure. "September 2017" Breakfast / Lunch / Brunch 635107192

Yes, it was well worth the weight. Pun intended!

Today's breakfast, was a hungarian peppers fried, on bread, with grated Italian cheese.
Then, a Boston Cream chocolate covered doughnut.

Today (  morning ), we had a buttered roll with coffee.

I never knew it, but there are two kinds of Kaiser Rolls.
There is the hard crust, and the soft crust style rolls. I like the hard crust style.

I like the soft crust style rolls.

AND I like the hard crust style rolls.

Let's face it, I didn't get to the size I am by NOT liking crusty rolls!

I forgot I had thawed out a couple sausage patties and when I opened the drawer in the refrigerator to get a hard cooked egg, I saw them.

So.......instead of a cold, hard cooked egg for my breakfast I instead had two fried sausage patties on lightly toasted bread.

Just bread and sausage.

Actually, I could have just stood at the stove and eaten the sausage right out of the pan.

((I'm SO pathetic......LOL))

We eat out of the pans sometimes.
Tina calls it "It is Cowboy Style Tonight!"

Yee Haw, Pardner!  Dane loves to make soup for himself and sometimes sits at the table with the sauce pan and a spoon.  Doesn't bother me one bit ~ And some meals, like my pork and sauerkraut, most often comes from the oven to the table. Everything stays hot and there's not a large serving dish to try to fit into the dishwasher.

I used my leftover roasted kabocha squash for squash soup for my lunch.

I had it in the refrigerator so I warmed it slightly in the microwave so I could push it through a sieve to be sure there weren't any stingy fibers in my soup. Amazingly, every bit of the squash went through and it was all as smooth as baby food.

I thinned it with chicken stock, added a pinch of ground ginger, a little grating of nutmeg and a pinch of salt. When it got hot it was still too thick so I thinned it more with some half and half.

The addition of the half and half changed the color from an orange to a ball park mustard yellow. But, it was still really tasty! I sprinkled some toasted pecans on top for a little texture and enjoyed every bite.

I just made an Omelet... Cheese / onions / mushrooms / and diced small ham.

Had to CHRISTEN My new bottle of Tabasco sauce.
I have a weird way eating Tabasco sauce on my omelet. It has to be two bites at the time, so it doesn't soak into the omelet. Tina says,"Why dont you sprinkle the hot sauce all over at one time?"I tried to explain, that there is a different taste when the sauce is freshly dashed onto the egg bites!"
As I get to the last three or four bites, I double the amount of Tabasco sauce to get my mouth fiery hot.

I like to put taco sauce on my omelet, Jimmy. Different taste but the vinegar-y heat is good.

I had leftover pasta & marinara for my 'brunch' just to get it cleaned up from the refrigerator. I hate to toss stuff when we're going out of town (we leave on Tuesday morning).
