ok found this one. almost just the way I make it. I do not use organic milk. Just whole milk.I also let it 'cook' for 2 & 1/2 hr.

I have not ever had those clumps??

I also wrap mine in 3 big towels .Not just one.

Other then that, this the way you make it..

That is the slow cooker I have too. It has a hole in the lid & I drop my temp thing in the hole lol so I don't have to take the lid off.

Ok, I think I still get confused in the middle....

She heats to 180 degrees and takes clumps out. Then she added yogurt starter. But she said it had to be 110 degrees. Do you heat to 180 and then let it cool to 110 before adding yogurt starter?

I swear, when I try to make it again, if I end up with sour milk and not yogurt I'm going to drive to your house and spend an entire day to watch you make it.....

yes. the temp should be 180` after 2 hrs. that is the high. UNPLUG. Let sit for 3 hrs, it will come down to 110` I add the starter..My temp thing sits in the hole the whole time so I watch it come down.

110` is the low that ferments..It will cool down over night. and get thick...

We'll see if I can make some. If not I'm going to buy stock in Fage.
