Who doesn't remember my tomato patch from last summer???  I mean, i must have posted a billion pics of the plants and fruit I harvested.

Well, since I'm not planning on being here past the first of September I wasn't going to plant anything.  There must be 50 volunteer tomato plants growing.  I need to go out and thin them down to about four plants and then mulch around them to stop any more from coming up.

Some of them already have yellow flowers in bloom so I know there will be some tomatoes.

This just slayed me, Beth, as that would never happen here in N.O. Occasionally, if we don't pull up a tomato plant at the end of the season (they're usually so freaking ugly by then that we do), a plant or two might live through the winter (we didn't have a freeze last year so we had one that lived well over a year).

I even told someone about your "volunteers" the other day and they were as jealous as I was!
