Love my rice maker however the last 4 or 5 times I used it the rice is a stuck up mess..Jasmine rice..

I made it stove top,stuck up mess...

If all else falls read the directions lol...I mean come on I have made rice for 50years...

Says 1 and 1/2 cup washed rice...2 cups water..bring to bowl, cover steam on low 20 min...

Did that.. actually longer, I forgot about it lol maybe 35min..

Nice fluffy and not sticky....However it was not cooked,still hard..  

It will be ok as I want it for pineapple fried rice,,

Ghezz  have I forgot how to cook???

I make mine in the microwave in a pyrex casserole dish. Comes out perfect every time.

Not messin' with what works for me.

I have found that the brand of rice makes all of the difference in the world.

I read in a Japanese cookbook that says old rice takes longer to cook than fresher rice because it has dried out more.

Same here. Beth. I use a lot of Basmati and Jasmine rice as they come out so nice and the smell is lovely, too. I'd love a rice maker but I really don't have room for yet another appliance...

and  do tell...I use basmati and jasmine . sometimes short.
