I have Mexican oregano and my personal favorite, Greek oregano which I purchased at the Greek grocery in Tarpon Springs.....super cheap and really fragrant.

The dried Greek oregano on stems (sold in a plastic bag) is the most fragrant ~ you give it a crunch and shake some leaves out of the bag.....I use it for anything Medeterranian- Italian, etc.  The Mexican has a stronger flavor, IMO, and I use that when I'm adding hot peppers like for taco/southwestern type meals.

I only have Mexican and the all-purpose variety. I haven't tried Greek unless that is what I have already.
