My neighbors don't care about cooking so whenever I bake something I try to share with them. The second side of that coin is that I do not leave much here and I get enough to satisfy my sweet tooth without having to slap 'whatever' on my backside, wrap my hips in Saran.....
Unfortunately, I had delivered hunks of the loaf cake to two of the neighbors before I thought to take a pic......but you get the idea!
LOL
I had seen an article about getting a box mix to taste more like a bakery cake and decided to give it a try. IMO, it did seem to improve on the cake. The original instructions called for 3 eggs, 1 c. water and 1/3 c. oil.
I added 4 eggs, 1 c. milk and 1/3 c. butter......and to bake at 325° instead of 350° for a few minutes longer than called for.
The cake seems like it has a finer crumb and is more moist than a regular box mix cake. Seems about right to me.
