There was a lull in the rainfall earlier today so I took the opportunity to go to my neighbor's to see her new quartz countertop.

I'm GREEN with jealousy !

Well, really, I'm happy for her. She is so pleased. Her original kitchen had pink countertops and pink/whitewashed cabinets. Last year her brother-in-law came and refaced her cabinets with beadboard and painted them all white.

So now her kitchen is beautiful and she's very happy.

One day I'll get to remodel my kitchen to look and function the way I want it to. Some day.....one day before I die......((sigh))

yeah... I know that feeling.. I always want a nice countertop for my kitchen, granite or quart, but we don't have budget for that, we have to settle with the one we got when we moved in our house, like you say.. some day.. some day

If only my numbers would work as I intend on the $400M Powerball coming up this Wednesday.....

Everyone cross their fingers for me! ((If I do win, Imelda, you will also have the kitchen of your dreams!))

I seem to have become addicted to home reno shows, and wow, do they do some fancy, fancy kitchens. I am going to have the old carpet taken out of my living/dining area and replaced with hardwood. My condo is open concept, front hall, kitchen and living area about 600 sq. ft. Kitchen cupboards are a dark wood, and the finish is coming off, they will be painted an almost white, but I'm too cheap to replace the counter tops. There's nothing wrong with them, and if it ain't broken, why fix it, right?

I had ceramic tile on my kitchen counters on the farm for 25 years and really liked them. I like my cheap laminate, and the difference in cost is probably enough for a nice vacation!
