where are you getting fresh peaches from this time of year?

Boy, I can hardly wait for the Georgia peaches to be ready. I think they're good to go in July.

I told Dane I was going to go to the grocery store. I asked what he wanted for supper. He couldn't decide....he'd have to 'think about it'.

I asked him yet again an hour ago, he's still thinking......

Well, now he's decided we should go out for pulled pork and smoked chicken.

Fine with me.

I was going to make potato salad or mac salad but lost interest after my landlord informed me that he was not cutting the grass anymore . I am so pissed off. It will cost me $100.a month now to have a yard man to cut it...Man oh man I need to move. It is just not safe to live here and to hot and this house is not worth spending $1500 + a month.. Besides I never use the back yard.

Rent a condo. The HOA dues will pay for upkeep and most likely they will be included in your rent.

The ribs came out perfect. They all liked it.
The ziti with Tina's sauce meatballs, and sausage, was a winner. Tina made a Kentucky Butter Cake , DD made a caramel chocolate orio pie. Wow!.... We also had strawberry shortcake with fresh whipped cream.

DD is here cleaning up, and Tina and I are just unwinding.

Party here Next Sunday, for mothers day, and son Jimmy's 46th b-day.

The main menu will be southern fried chicken. (( Jimmy Jr's request )).

I played around with the internet 'rage' ~ Pastry Apple Roses ~ this morning.  It was easy and fun, definately something I'd do again.

I had a small pork tenderloin, made an apple/onion/raisin/basalmic 'chutney' to accompany, baked a spaghetti squash (this morning when I was making the dessert 'roses' & had the oven on) and some steamed broccoli. Now I'm stuffed.

Dessert will be before bed....or breakfast in the morning!

Had a ham cheese; lettuce and salami with tomato and mayo, on toast!

Tina was at the hospital today with her Aunt who was rushed there this morning.
She ate hospital food and from the cafeteria. Yuck! she said.

She has to go back tomorrow, so I suggested I could make some sandwiches for her to take with her!
She said No, but when she goes to sleep, I will make her a couple egg and cheese with bacon sandwiches.

It's sort of a mixed up day! Had a good nights sleep till 500 am when I was kicked out of bed with leg cramps. Errrrrrrrrrr! Nasty!! Sat up and drank drank drank lots of water. Anyway..... I am home alone (sort of ) . Still have to babysit the Tina's Uncle.
Tina ran to the hospital where her Aunt was admitted yesterday..... God knows when she will be home??

I could go for some Muscles in a tomato wine sauce. Some macaroni on the side; and maybe throw some shrimp in there. ? ? ?

Never made my wish of muscles and shrimp.
The ole gut balled up and I felt like alien was inside me.

I had a tomato and lettuce with mayo on unseeded rye instead.

Well.... I just turned to an old remedy in my book; including my brothers, and dads; Rest their souls.

Charcoal Burnt Toast .... and a 1/8"inch thick coat of butter. Two slices that is.
The charcoal toast settles the gas in the stomach, and the butter lubricates the intestines so that the food passes through the digestive process faster. That is on page one of my book.
Page two is the swallowing a tip of the teaspoon of Vicks Vapo Rub to open up the passages when I get a cold. It's the turpentine in the Vicks that clears up a cold.
Turpin Hydrate was too expensive, and that had turpentine in it. Mom always had plenty of Vicks around.

Gee Whizz.... I feel better already! Yay!
