A beautiful Irish meal Norm!
Tonight we had meatloaf and we tried your fries recipe. Just like McDonalds! A keeper. The plate of fries was empty at the end of the meal. Thanks again for the recipe.

Great looking meals, Everyone!

Lyn's family is visiting so she asked if I'd come to grill steaks. Everyone seemed full at the end of the meal so I think it was a success.

Will skip lunch, and for ME... I will make a piled high with thin sliced pastrami on Pumpernickle bread... Some kosher garlic pickles, and pickled eggs and beets.

I don't know what the Lady and the Old Uncle want or will have, but I am sticking to my Plan!

DD made Green Rice Krispy Treats and dropped them off on her way to work.

Glad I did my corned beef a couple weeks ago. A 'regular' meal tonight: Grilled Pork Shoulder Chops, boiled potatoes & lima beans.

The meals look great Girls. Barb, that lamb is really lean. We ( Tina and I ) don't eat lamb, but the kids (excuse the pun ) Love it! ....

DD raises like around 150 of them on the farm as their biggest live stock, and she actually only eats lamb like only on holidays....

Tonight, Tina is making a Blue tube crust pizza.

Tomorrow...it is gonna be beef stew.

Tonight for DH and roomie is a southwestern shrimp cobb salad with an avocado dressing. I will be having cold leftover meatloaf.

Those look super moist....yum! I made a double batch of the banana/strawberry muffins (WITH the butter this time) from the baby bananas I got from my brother-in-law. They are really good, too.

We are having Beef Stew, with Carrots, Celery, mushrooms, and Potatoes.

It's all cooked and Tina thickened the juices into delicious Gravy!!....
It's calling for..."Bread, Bread, and More Bread!" ..... to sop up the gravy!

Gabe will have Salmon and sweet tater tots. He won't eat stew.

Those dinners look great Beth and Barb.

My stew that Tina cooked was great..... The added mushrooms were great cooked in the beef juices. Tina never added mushrooms to stew before.

Dessert is to be selected later. We have to do a survey to see what is here that's good to eat!

I love crimini mushrooms in my stew, Jimmy ~ almost meaty in texture. I add them whole, they shrink down during the cooking....but add so much flavor to the gravy. Yum!

Yeah! they were good in the stew. They were just button mushrooms, and we love all mushrooms, but never in stew.

You'll never believe what I am thinking of!

I could envision, a cream sauce with chopped Corned beef in it, (like sausage and gravy) and with Biscuits so it can be eaten like Sausage Gravy and Biscuits.

Just like the smoked chipped beef ... AKA Shtuff On the Shingle = SOS.

I was reading a book that was talking about post-war England and a popular meal that still exists today: beans on toast. From what I read, England still had rationing for years after the war ended and a prime source of protein was beans served on toast like a sandwich. Jimmy, your chipped corned beef on toast reminded me of that little bit of info.

My dad's favorite lunch in the summer (when he could only take a few minutes away from planting or plowing farm fields) was VanCamp's Pork and Beans, straight from the can, spooned on a hot dog bun.
