I made Belgian Waffles for everyone today.

Lunch will be skipped by me, and that way I will save my appetite for Superbowl Eats tonight.

Thanks Beth... it was a good start to the snow and ice removal we got overnight.
6 inches of heavy snow / ice . Perfect for making snow cones.

Looks great Barb.

Tina was out this AM at 7:30 to take GD to work (that's another story),
And she picked me up a big breakfast at Micky D's.... It was good!
3 hot cakes / eggs scrambled / a sausage patty / and a biscuit utter and syrup all for $4.99.

Yesterday afternoon, I blared," Shovel off your car and clean the snow before it freezes solid!"!!!!! ....
Did GD Listen??? NOoooo!!!.... She would rather sit and watch TV whilst she is texting friends on her Ipad ... The Drama this morning was horrific!! And it was everybody else's fault! &&

Oh, YUM!

Once in a while I'll order one 'to go' from the local Jewish deli. I always ask for it 'dry'....no mustard, no nothing. That way, when I get it home, I can dismantle it and, using the loaf of their bread I usually have in the pantry, make three sandwiches. I can't eat as much meat as they put on the sandwich but it's a great way to have a fairly inexpensive lunch for the two of us....plus have enough for a second go around for Dane the next day.

I made myself a couple soft cooked eggs for my breakfast....gently placed 2 refrigerated eggs in boiling salted water, set timer for 5 minutes. Easy, peasy. When the timer went off I pushed down the toast and it was hot & ready when I was done peeling and rinsing the eggs.

UNFORTUNATELY.....

the LAST bite of egg/yolk I wiped up with the last bit of toast had a MINISCULE bit of egg shell.

Amazing how that teeny, tiny bit of "crunch" can ruin a perfectly good breakfast.....

When I was in Orlando with Lyn & Barb we stopped at the IKEA store. I looked for Lingonberry jam...didn't have any. They did have a "Cloudberry" jam, but I didn't have a clue what it was so I didn't bother buying any.

They had Lingonberry juice boxes, just no jam. Go figure.

I buy it at Marshalls. TJ Maxx most likely has it too.Cloudberry seems to me is along the same thing.I know my Swedish gal gave me some  jam & liquor..So good. Low in sugar. .Think she said the berry only blooms once a year.I need to goggle it.

As far as I know it has always been available around here. When I lived in that small town before I moved here, they had it too.

Since Dane's spending his day tucked in bed, I get to fix whatever I want for meals (since I'm the only one eating).

Today, one of my favorites, but not his:

Pierogies (homemade/frozen) with potato/cheese filling, carmalized onions & sour cream. YUM!
